John A. Moissidis, MD, is the Medical Director of the Allergy, Asthma and Immunology Clinic in Athens, Greece. He has received his medical training in Pediatrics at the Schneider Children’s Hospital, Long Island Jewish Medical Center, New York, and he has completed a Fellowship in Allergy/Clinical Immunology at the Louisiana State University in Shreveport, Louisiana.
He holds medical certificates of both the American Board of Allergy/Immunology and the American Board of Pediatrics. He is a Clinical/Adjunct Assistant Professor of the University of Tennessee College of Medicine, Memphis, TN, USA (July 2013 – June 2016).
In addition to his MD degree, John also holds a MBA – Master of Business Administration degree from the Hellenic Open University, in Athens, Greece.
He has several publications in peer reviewed medical journals. His clinical research experience includes numerous clinical trials, both at the university and the private practice settings. He has served as a peer reviewer in international scientific journals.
Dr. John Moissidis, received the Governors International Community Service Award 2004, from the American College of Chest Physicians for his care for indigent and uninsured patients at the Respiratory Diseases Community Service Project in Northwest Louisiana.
He has first-hand knowledge and experience of hospitals’ operation and accreditation process (he has served as chairman of the clinical care committee of the Joint Commission International accreditation process –the American operational healthcare standards- of the HYGEIA hospital in Athens, Greece). Lastly he has served as a medical consultant to many international companies in Greece like the American Community Schools in Athens.
